Your Questions, Answered
WHAT IS TAROT?
Tarot is a system of divination called cartomancy.
It consists of 78 cards, divided in two groups: the major arcana and the minor arcana.
WHAT DO THE CARDS MEAN?
The Tarot cards are archetypes, that is they represent a psychological quality that we all share. The cards may have an underlying, symbolic meaning that the tarot practitioner translates for you.
A reading is a highly personalized representation of a certain situation for a certain person at a certain time. Intuition and inspiration will give you the appropriate explanation for the cards at that time, for that person in those circumstances.
DOES TAROT PREDICT THE FUTURE?
The future is not written in stone. Certain things will likely happen because their energies are running in a particular direction. But as human beings we have free will and can change those energies in one way or another, in small ways or in big ways.
There are also unforeseen things that can interfere. Therefore what we call the future is what most likely will happen given the present set of circumstances, but we need to keep in mind that anything can change this view of the future.
Tarot is the story of your energy in pictures.
HOW DOES TAROT HELP?
Tarot is an amazing tool for validation and clarity. Our subconscious mind is usually aware of the path or the actions we need to take.
The cards show you what energies are supporting those moves and which directly is likely to be the best for you.
WHAT KIND OF QUESTIONS CAN I ASK?
Tarot is excellent for receiving clarity on problems or issues that logic by itself simply can't handle (most of the important ones in life!). Relationships, negotiations, work dynamics, office politics, family matters, spiritual well-being.
Tarot does not answer yes / no questions.
Typical wording for a question is - what is it that I need to know in regards to (work/romance etc).
I do not answer health questions.
HOW DO I BEST PREPARE FOR A TAROT READING?
There are certain points to be noted when you arrive for your reading, please keep these in mind whenever you embark for a reading to get the maximum benefit out of the same:
Have an open mind and leave the skepticism behind.
Prepare your questions on which you need guidance. It is ok to not have any specific questions in mind as the cards will always tell you what you need to know.
Be calm. There is nothing in the reading which would effect you negatively. The Tarot gives you only answers which you are ready for. Meditate if you are feeling anxious/nervous.
Understand that specifics will not be given to you like date/time/place, but trends will be revealed.
Do not ask the same question before 6 months are up.
Write down the guidance given for future reference and practice any meditative techniques provided.
You may ask for another person even if they are not present for the reading.
Accept the guidance with gratitude, as something coming from the source.
HOW OFTEN CAN I GET A READING?
You can get a reading as often as you like!
A 30 minute reading is great for monthly check ins.
Longer readings you would probably want every 6 months.
